Um, How Sincere Would That BE, Exactly?
I don't think I can blame this one on my students. It was from another class.
I found a 3 x 5 card on the floor of the classroom today, with notes on it for a paper outline.
Under "Characteristics":
"She is worm sincere and friendly."

Worms are known for their sincerity, so the phrase should be self-explanatory. One cannot get more sincere than being "worm sincere."

I just love the phrase "worm sincere." That card on the floor was like a little gift floating down from literary heaven.

Makes your skin crawl. But a great idea for a horror movie. But who plays the title role?

Actually, I have been thinking that I may write a childrens' book and title it: Sidney the Sincere Worm.
Of course, he would also be friendly.

lol. aaaawww, yes, I agree that worms are known for their sincerity. it's like all great discoveries that are made by "accident", no? what a worthy new phrase for the English language. "Worm sincere", not JUST plain old sincere but "worm sincere". it has a very noble ring to it. = ]

It DOES have a noble ring, doesn't it?
And yes, what could be more sincere than a lowly worm who blindly eats the dirt in front of him and just keeps moving?
