I almost picked up my computer monitor and hugged it! I can see how you can't help but use baby talk when you talk to him!
I can't wait to meet my sweet widdle nephew Hankies. Him's so precious! Yes he is!

The question on Hankies mind is, "when are you going to get that camera out of my face. You had in all up in my ear, now you're in my face; what's next? I'm afraid to ask."
Cat's are inquisitive about equipment that intrudes into their space.

You know what this picture reminds me of? Puss N' Boots from Shrek 2. You know, when he does the cutesy big-eyed stare thing?

I love this picture of him. It's about a year old. His eyes have been dilated like that for about ten years, for no apparent reason. He can still see.
My dad's old typewriter is in the background. I didn't even notice until after I'd posted it.
Jerry, you're right. Hankie had every reason to expect a "scope."

He IS sweet. Aaaawwwwwww. You can see the love in his eyes. You captured a very quirky, soft, almost sleepy expression. To me he looks like, "Whatchu doin'? Are you gonna gimme a treat after this?" = ]

I loves me that little feller, even when he meows at 5 in the morning. I'm usually up anyway, but it's the principle of the thing...

If Hankie used a human voice, do you think it would sound like Antonio Banderas'?
By the way, scott p, I snorted granola into my sinus cavity when I read your Al Stewart question. it was just too much for my reactive laugh reflexes.

Domhan, I was seriously starting to think that no one would get that. Thanks, you made my day.

Well *I* got it, but I thought it was just way too obvious.

Also, I was angry because I could not get the song out of my head.
Do you know what song is in my head TODAY? And will not stop? And has driven me almost to screaming when I found myself whistling it?
Eddie Rabbitt's "I Love a Rainy Night."
I must be destroyed.

Domhan, I hope Hankie would sound as cool as Antonio. It would break my heart if he suddenly acquired a human voice and it sounded like Wally Cox.

OMG-- what a cutie!

Thanks, LD. He is totally impossible to resist. And the focus of our entire household. Like he's the grand poohbah.

Scott--Thanks so much for "Year of the Cat" playing nonstop my head yesterday.
Candy--Thanks so much for "I Love a Rainy Night," which will be in my head all night now.
Wanna know what was in my head all day today? "Over the River and Through the Woods." Yeah.

What WAS it I forgot to do today? Hmmm. Think think think.
Oh yeah. I forgot to beat Futuresis with a mallet for even mentioning that horrible earworm of a song.
THUD.

Aww! A baybee! Orange cats are the best cats by far!

They are MY personal favorites. Although Hankie is more of a dirty butterscotch color. He has slightly "muddy" tones because, as the vet told me, somewhere in his lineage is a Siamese. The pattern is subtly there.
