Living in the Desert, Lesson #1: Creatures
I am seeing many new and strange things in the desert. This is Lizzie. She is very small. I did not come to know her very well because she was floating in the pool when I met her. Dead as a doornail. But still very cute. I am sure we would have been great friends.
Tomorrow I will show you what Lizzie looked like after 5 days in the sun.

Poor Lizzie! She is indeed cute and I am sure you two would have been the bestest of friends.
Did I ever tell you about the dead mouse I found in my washing machine a couple of years ago? Not so cute. We would certainly have NOT been friends.
Ahhh, the casualties of life in the cornfields and life in the desert . . .

Well MAYBE you were just too picky about your friendships back then. Hopefully if you found a decimated mousie now, you were invite her for tea. Maybe NOW you know what's important in life.
Like sitting down to tea and crumpets wif a dead mouse.

I'm very sad for Lizzie and have no desire to see her sun-baked carcass. She's not a banana, candy. Oooooo. . . but bringing her to class and telling bad students that you're going to use her to cast spells on them might make you enjoy your job a bit more.

Oh, but EB, it is simply a work of art done by nature itself. Accidentally. Because I forgot to give Lizzie a decent burial and left her outside by the beach towels.
Beware then, you and your tender heart/stomach/psyche. For Lizzie will be haunting Candy's digs tomorrow.
But I still might take her to class for some threats.
